Professional career

After studying at the ETH/EPF in Zurich and Lausanne he gained a degree in electrical engineering, specialising in communications technology.

He then joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a consultant. He undertook on-the-job training in business informatics (programming, SAP consultancy, business process analysis and optimisation/ARIS).

After five years he moved to IBM Global Services as a sales consultant for SAP projects. From 1997 he worked for IBM as manager international sales/presales of SAP retail.

At the same time he completed a wide-ranging training course in communications (NLP) with Anthony Robbins in San Diego.

He subsequently became a business unit head and a member of the management team at Plaut Schweiz AG where his core responsibilities were business development, HR management and project management.

Since 2001 self-employed consultant for process optimisation and SAP-/ERP-systems projects.
