Qualification in communications technology and electronics at a higher technical college. 1985 to 1990: post-qualification experience at Siemens in Munich as a sales engineer for public switching systems in the Middle East before studying business administration. 1996 to 2000: advanced from assistant to manager at auditing firm Arthur Anderson and qualified as tax adviser.

2001 to 2002: Head of Finance, Accounting and Financial Control at Europapier Austria. Improved financial reporting processes and achieved efficiency increases, particularly in the credit management area.

2002 to 2006: Head of Financial Control for the Europapier Group, member of the company board and also supervisory board member for several subsidiaries. Developed and implemented best-practice processes.

2007 to 2009: Regional Finance Director, Europapier Group in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland. Responsible for all financial control and accounting issues, logistics, IT and HR management in the region. Successful restructuring process, with significant increase in efficiency and cost savings.

He has been a self-employed interim manager and consultant since the beginning of 2010.
